Informed Consent Form

In this study you will be asked to complete multiple questionnaires that deal with your personality and attitudes. You will also be asked to provide some demographic information. Also included are a few images and verbal descriptions that may be disturbing for some respondents.

At the end, you will have the option to obtain a detailed report of your personality, and will be provided with a link to the debriefing form, which has a place for you to enter your email to win a $100 gift certificate for Amazon.com.

There are no foreseeable risks, harms, or inconveniences that accompany the completion of these procedures. The entire study takes approximately 1 hour to complete. It is best to COMPLETE THIS STUDY ALL AT ONCE and allot yourself an appropriate amount of time to finish it. If for unforeseen reasons you cannot complete this study in one time period, you can return to it and continue where you have left off provided that you USE THE SAME COMPUTER and your INTERNET COOKIES ARE NOT CLEARED (if someone else wishes to complete this study from the same computer you used to complete it, the internet cookies will need to be cleared). Also, if you cannot complete the entire study at once, be sure to at least finish the page you are on, since data for a partly completed page will not be saved. You can return to the study by clicking on the same link you used to get to it (you may wish to BOOKMARK THIS PAGE NOW; bookmarks from any other page in the study will bring up an error message).

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. All of your responses will be held confidential and anonymous. Your responses will be identified by a number rather than your name. Your data will only be accessible to the researchers involved in this study. Should you choose to no longer complete this survey, our records of your data will be destroyed immediately.
